Hytera Walkie Talkie FAQs

The price depends on the model, whether it is analog or digital (DMR), the frequency band, the number of radios and the accessories you need. Send us your requirement and we will share a clear quotation for the Motorola models that suit your site.

It depends on where and how your team uses the radios. A security team, a hotel and a warehouse each need different features, and the choice also depends on analog or digital, VHF or UHF, and whether you need licensed radios. Tell us your site, number of users and use, and we will recommend suitable Motorola models.

Analog radios are simple to use and work with other analog radios. Motorola’s MOTOTRBO digital (DMR) radios use two time slots on one channel, so twice as many calls or users can share the channels you already have. Motorola also states that its digital radios give up to 40% longer battery life than analog. Actual results vary by model and use.

Some Motorola radios support both analog and digital modes, so you can keep working with your existing analog fleet and move to digital at your own pace. This depends on the model, so share your current radios and we will tell you which Motorola models are compatible.

Professional Motorola radios generally operate on frequencies that need approval from the WPC wing of the Department of Telecommunications. License-free radios are limited to 446.0 to 446.2 MHz at 500 mW, for handheld use only, with no base station or repeater. Requirements vary by model, frequency and use, and our licensing assistance can guide you.

VHF generally suits open areas and longer distances, while UHF generally works better inside buildings and in built-up areas. The right band depends on your site, so tell us where your team works and we will recommend the better fit.

Common accessories include batteries, single and multi-unit chargers, speaker microphones, earpieces and headsets, antennas and carry cases. Which accessories fit depends on the radio model, so send us your model number and we will confirm compatible options.

Batteries and chargers differ between Motorola models and series. Share the model number, which is usually on a label at the back of the radio, and we will confirm the compatible battery, charger and other accessories.

Channels, privacy codes and DMR settings are set up through our radio programming service. Each Motorola series needs its own programming software, so send us your model number and we will confirm what we can set up.

Many professional analog and digital radios can work through a repeater, depending on the model. License-free radios cannot, because the license-free rules do not allow repeater use. For large sites and buildings, see our repeater installation service.

Yes. We offer AMC and CMC contracts for radio fleets and maintenance and repair for individual radios. Share your model numbers and quantity and we will confirm the scope.

For short-term needs, see our walkie talkie rental service and tell us your dates and numbers so we can confirm which models are available. We are based in Delhi and take orders and enquiries for Delhi NCR and across India. Send your quantity, models and location for a quotation.
